My goal is to empower YOU to seek out what is important to your family and provide support in whatever challenges you face as you enter into parenthood.
I believe in a birthing individual’s strength, ability and resiliency to achieve desired goals.
I continue to educate myself on the latest data and research regarding pregnancy, birth and newborn care. Using my network of providers and other perinatal professionals, I will will do my best to ensure that you receive the highest level of care and support. I am a Certified Bith & Postpartum Doula through International Doula Institute as well as an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor and Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula.
I am so glad that you have shown interest in having me become part of your journey into parenthood. My goal is to work hand-in-hand with you and your providers in navigating through pregnancy, birth and in caring for your newborn.
As your Birth Doula, I will listen to your needs and your vision of birth. During your birth, I will assist you in having your vision of birth become reality by offering continuous nurturing support, comfort techniques for pain management, relaxation techniques and discuss any/all options available to you.
When baby arrives, I will work with you and your family to create a positive and nurturing environment. As a Postpartum Doula, I work with postpartum individuals to help in facilitating healing, understanding the changes their body is going through and troubleshooting any struggles and concerns that arise after having a baby. I can provide information on newborn care and help families begin to establish a new family rhythm. I am well connected in the local birth community and can provide reliable resources beyond my scope of care.
Having a baby is an exciting and beautiful time! I look forward to working together and offering guidance during this life-changing journey.
When I'm not providing doula services, I work alongside my husband in raising our two amazing children. As a family we enjoy spending time on the water, either by cruising around in our boat, paddling in the river or putting our feet in the sand at the beach.
My desire to support growing families started when I became a mother. I was fortunate enough to have a good support network in place and it really helped me have a positive experience. In observing other other birthing individuals and their journey, I was disappointed to see the lack of support and care and judgment placed upon them. A birthing individual has a unique power and ability to carry and birth another living being. We should honor, uplift and support one another during such a significant life change.
I would be honored to be part of your support network in navigating pregnancy, birth and beyond!
